The International Islamic School Malaysia(IISM) was established in September 1998. It was the fruit of years of study by Muslim scholars from various parts of the world who taught at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) who thirst for a model of integrated Islamic school that could serve their children and those of others, especially the Muslim expatriates.
The school moved to its present campus which is close to IIUM in 2005. It has grown from a humble beginning of 30 students to an enrollment of approximately 900 students today, ranging from pre-school to A-levels, Intensive English and Tahfeez Programmes.
Being an Islamic school means we emphasize on an integrated and balance human development intellectually, physically, spiritually, morally, emotionally and socially based on the Islamic world view anchored on Tawheed (the unity of God). Our international teaching staff are very experienced and well trained. The teachers-students ratio is small, ensuring adequate monitoring of our students in all aspects of the school curriculum including the Islamic practices and obligations.
