Project Gemilang 2016 has completed its course after a year of its implementation. This year, the UPSR results were announced on 17 November 2016 and it has brought about a new wave to the first cohort of KSSR UPSR. This year’s results are not comparable with the previous year’s UPSR results. The most significant changes is the format of the examination paper which includes 6 papers, namely Bahasa Melayu (Pemahaman), Bahasa Melayu (Penulisan), Bahasa Inggeris (Pemahaman), Bahasa Inggeris (Penulisan), Matematik dan Sains. In addition, Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) has been integrated and emphasized across all subjects in the UPSR questions.
Like other schools across the country, Sekolah Rendah Setiabudi is also affected by the result. This is the first batch of KSSR taking the UPSR Examination and it saw the curriculum transformation through the results itself. Despite the shocking wave across the country, the UPSR result this year is never the less, very encouraging for Sekolah Rendah Setiabudi. The school has achieved Grade Point Average of 1.85 which puts the school as the best school in Gombak. A total of 9 students achieved 6A’s, 18 students achieved 5A’s and 17 4A’s. This represents as much as 35% for 4A’s and above. This is the first cohort in the UPSR results with the new system and as a good benchmark for meeting the next target for achieving all A’s.
As for PSRA 2016, the examination is more stable and saw very encouraging results as the years before. Sek Ren Setiabudi has recorded a 100% pass with a Grade Point Average of 1.78 with 56 students MUMTAZ, representing 50% of all Year 6 students. This decision allows Sek Ren Setiabudi continue to maintain its position amongst the best private schools in Gombak and Selangor. Alhamdulillah.
